If you are the advanced trekkers and always ready for the adventures, you may want to try the 2 days 1 night Rinjani trekking program. The starting point and retour is in Senaru point, which provides you the most spectacular views of the Lake Segara Anak within the volcano’s crater.

This trek program is not suitable for beginners. It requires level of fitness and strong walks.

This is also any day opening trek; you can go any days, if the weather is clear and dry.

Type of tour:

Fully organized (eco adventure, fully guided). You will be accompanied by fully licensed and experienced English Speaking mountain guide. Individual or group departures are available upon request.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01 Pick up early at your hotel/guest house, and then register yourselves at the Rinjani Information Centre (RIC) in Senaru Village.

Your guide will book you the National Park entry ticket. The guide also gives you short briefing describing the route details, the local cultural traditions and what you might see, and explains the  disposal materials management and safety procedures.

The first hours of the trek climb steeply through thick tropical forest rich in flora, bird life and variety of butterflies. Rest stops can be taken along the way up to Post 2 Montong Satas (1,500m).

The night’s camp is made either in the forest at Post 3 Mondokan Lolak (2,000m) after about five hours climb from Senaru, or continue the ascent for another couple of hours through grassy meadows Plawangan 1 Senaru crater rim at 2,641m.

The view there is spectacular, you can see across the lake Segara Anak (2,00m) to the summit of Mt. Rinjani. Within the crater, Mt. Baru (2,351m) is an active, last erupting dramatically in April 2009.

If you are lucky, on the clear night you can see Mount Agung and Gili Islands from the place you stand.

Day 2 Enjoy your sunrise spectacle in the morning from Post 3 Mondokan Lolak, which is about 2 hours of climb up from your tents.

Sunrise at the crater rim is a memorable thought.

After enjoying the view, descend the trail down to Senaru village through the grassland then back into the shade of the tropical forest.

After about seven hours from the rim, the trek ends at Rinjani Trek Centre Senaru. You will be picked up by our car and drop off to hotel.
